This month, our featured photographer is APC member, Walter Wheatley.

Bio:
My start in photography was in high school as a member of the school Photo Club. I remember learning the basics about simple cameras and film. My favourite was Black and White photography. I enjoyed the development process in the darkroom.  As well as the print making. I can’t remember which camera we started with in the club but I will always remember the first camera I owned, it was an Olympus Trip35. A simple point and shoot camera that had a built in light meter and was very straight forward to use. It allowed the user to focus on composition and not the technical bits when taking pictures. That camera was with me for several years while I traveled across Canada twice. The Olympus was stolen and replaced with a Practika L with two lenses. Cameras have always been nearby when traveling and at family gatherings. I still have a few boxes of old negatives and pictures from those days.
