The Art of Photographing the Family Pet
Pets have taken their place in society as full-fledged family members. Look no further than how our language has changed to describe the relationship we have with our pets – we have gone from ‘master’ to ‘owner’ from ‘guardian’ to ‘dog dad’ and ‘dog mum’. There is also a change in how we want to capture that relationship and more and more people want more than just a cell phone shot. But, how do you work with subjects who do not pose, do not speak the same language and like to move? Karen Weiler will discuss the keys to capturing expression, personality, as well as lighting to create the perfect portrait of man’s best friend.
