A Journey into Creativity with Bharat Mistry
Many of you know him. Some of you may have even worked with him. Few have figured out how his mind works. Now, Bharat Mistry joins us for an evening to share with us what influences his creativity and how he develops some of the amazing images seen in his portfolio.
This will be a fun, casual evening with a presentation of some of his work and how they came to be. He’ll walk us through his thought process in developing his ideas and executing the concepts. The presentation will be followed by a demo showing how an ordinary image is given the wow factor to make it truly creative and unique.

In this presentation, Ethan shares his insight into the inspiration, passion and knowledge that drives great nature photography. Illustrated by his favourite photos and stories, this light-hearted and humorous presentation will entertain and inspire!

APC November – Meeting – Underwater Photography with Margaret Hines

APC Nov Meeting

The APC is proud to present award winning Canadian underwater photographer, Margaret Hines as the guest speaker for our November members meeting.

Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 7:00 PM
Ajax Community Centre – HMS Room
75 Centennial Rd., Ajax, ON
Doors open at 6:30 PM

A unique fine art underwater portrait session exclusive to Margaret Hines Photography celebrates the breathtaking beauty of human movement and form by combining water’s unique play on light, its fluid and weightless qualities, with creatively captured imagery. These exquisite, ethereal portraits instill a sense of calm, magic and whimsy that is both timeless and one-of-a-kind. Her portraiture intrigues the viewer, while providing the subject with a very special personal experience to cherish.

Underwater photography is a distinctly challenging medium. The most important element of all photography, light itself, behaves quite differently underwater. The photographer, camera, subject, hair and materials are also in constant motion. It demands an amazing imagination, execution with exacting attention to detail, through to high-end retouching and final production of highly polished printed fine art pieces selected by the client to grace any home or business all within a fun, relaxed, comfortable and safe environment.

A professional photographer since 2007, Margaret has largely been focusing on her underwater work since 2008. She has been an accredited member of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) since 2010, and has won numerous national awards from PPOC as well as abroad with the International Loupe Awards in Australia. Margaret is self-taught in both creative underwater photographic techniques as well as high-end retouching skills.

Two of Margaret’s greatest assets, so important in today’s world but particularly so for underwater work, are her ability to put people at ease, and her exacting attention to detail. A combination that enables her to capture life’s truly evocative moments which are all too fleeting.

Margaret resides in Whitby, Ontario with her husband Rod and their four-footed “children”, Angus, Becky & Tiberius. Rod accompanies ‘Maggie’ on all her photography assignments above or below the surface, and is the “assistant extraordinaire”.

APC_Jennifer Fudge Poster_v1

The APC is proud to present newborn and maternity photographer Jennifer Fudge as the guest speaker for our April members meeting.

Jennifer Fudge is the owner of FotoJennics Photography based in Cobourg, Ontario. For as long as she can remember, she has always enjoyed photography.  She opened her first photography studio in 2007 and although she likes to shoot a little bit of everything, most of her work is with newborns, expectant mothers and families.

New life is one of the most amazing miracles of life, and yet the maternity and newborn stage is so fleeting. Maternity and newborn shoots are her absolute favorite and she is truly honored to be trusted to capture these moments.

Maternity and newborn sessions can be a lot of fun and there are tons of different styles to work with. Join Jennifer and learn about what it takes to get the mom and dad
comfortable in front of the camera and how to pose newborns safely. She will also discuss lighting and work-flow so come out and let Jennifer inspire you.
