Ajax Community Centre – HMS Room
75 Centennial Rd., Ajax, ON
Doors open at 6:30 PM

We are thrilled to have Ethan return to our club as a guest speaker. Ethan will be inspiring us with his presentation, For the Love of the Landscape!

Great landscape photos have the power to inspire us and evoke a sense of place! The best landscape photos have three key ingredients: dramatic light, strong foregrounds and depth of field from near to far.

Ethan will share his top tips on techniques and gear (including filters) for making stunning landscape photos that will leave others saying ‘wow’! You’ll also hear some of the funny stories that happen during Ethan’s photographic adventures. APC members who saw Ethan speak at last seasons Year End Gala will know that this is one meetingyou don’t want to miss.

“I am a landscape and wildlife photographer based in Montreal, and I specialize in running national and international photography workshops. I love the natural world and I have always felt the need to capture, and freeze in time, any beautiful scenes I bear witness to. The infinite artistic potential of nature is all around us. It is not always easy to see, or capture, but when you do, it will fill you with great joy. Through photography we can experience the world so much more intensively, deeply – it is a wonderful gift. I truly enjoy teaching fellow photographers how best to capture and portray the beauty they see and perceive, and I love sharing with them the amazing landscapes and natural surroundings I am privileged to witness. Photography workshops and tours thus fit naturally into my world.

Now, more than ever, we need to commit to saving our planet, to save that what is so dear to us and more central to our being than we realize. Our world is hurtling towards irreversible damage. We have ONE chance. We squander it, and it will all be gone, forever.”
