Tim has helped film crews from the BBC and Two Hand Productions capture footage for wildlife films. His work with coastal grizzly bears was featured in the award-winning television series Michaela’s Wild Challenge.

policy analyst and wildlife manager

Working with the British Columbia Ministry of Environment, Tim facilitated innovative projects between government scientists, stakeholders and consultants – including collaboration on black bear conflict management, grizzly bear rehabilitation, raptor and non-native species management and regulation of wildlife viewing.

Tim was the editor and lead story contributor for Arctic Inspired: A Tribute to the Tundra. He was most recently published in explore, Photo Life and the Globe and Mail. He is a past participant in the Mountain Writing Residency at the Banff Centre and is the former winner of the Great Northern Canada Writing contest. Tim also writes about marine resource management issues as the Communications Coordinator for the Central Coast Indigenous Resource Alliance.

Tim’s photos have appeared in Canadian Geographic Traveller, The Globe and Mail, Photo Life, Canoe Roots, Canadian Geographic’s Best Wildlife Pictures and elsewhere. Other clients include World Wildlife Fund, Offsetters Climate Solutions Inc., the Raincoast Conservation Society and the Western Canada Wilderness Committee.

Canoeing is one of Tim’s favourite ways to explore the wild and immerse himself in nature. He has paddled through vast sweeps of wilderness in Canada’s provinces and territories.  These travels include seven and eight-week expeditions in the arctic and in the wilds of Ontario.  Tim has also solo paddled the north shore of Lake Superior, an east-to-west transect of Algonquin Park and completed a seven-week solo canoe expedition
