Storytelling through imagery, finding inspiration in your own backyard

The world of editorial portraiture can seem overwhelming, with studio spaces and expensive lighting equipment seeming like a necessity. However, some of the most powerful portraits come from a story being told and from a connection between photographer and subject. With minimal equipment and using the influences and daily locations in our own lives, we can tell stories through people and spaces. In this seminar we will discuss how to begin with editorial portraiture and how to use the resources that you have to create powerful images that tell the story of the subject, as well as the photographer.
